Monday, June 16. 2008 Comfortable file sharing via REstoRYPosted by ResearchGATE Press Office in FeaturesComment (1) | Trackbacks (0) Today, we are happy to introduce a new cutting-edge feature on our platform: REstoRY, the smart file-sharing tool for research collaborations of any kind. From now on, you will be able to exchange all your files with co-researchers via ResearchGATE, let it be research papers, grant applications, charts or presentations. These files will be safely stored online. They are easily accessible for you and your collaborators anytime, whether you are at conference, in your hotel or at home. REstoRY supersedes constant emailing of documents between colleagues and makes version chaos an issue of the past. It works even better than the typical university server: At one glance, not only the current version of the file is available, but all the previous versions as well, with their relevant file information. This makes it easy to keep track of the latest input from your collaborators. Needless to say, file access can be limited to previously authorized group members in your ”invitation-only” Trackbacks

I've found REstoRY to be an excellent way to send and receive files to and from my colleagues, securely and pretty fast. ResearchGate are always coming out with great new tools to help us coordinate our research better, increasing our overall efficiency.
